About the Author

Hailing from the South of England, Lenni immigrated to Australia along with their parents and two brothers in the early 1980s. Having worked in Marketing and PR for years, Lenni and their partner acquired a 48-acre property nestled in the Macedon Ranges in 2019. Their vision: to transform the neglected land into a model of ethical food production, native reforestation, and regenerative agriculture over the next decade. However, life had other plans. The premature birth of their precious daughter Leela, who arrived weighing just 1.76 pounds, the devastating 2019 bushfires, and the COVID-19 pandemic ended Lenni’s career and the family pivoted towards farming pasture-raised eggs, an endeavor that not only supported their livelihood but also provided a wholesome, natural environment for Leela to thrive in. Fast forward three years. With a bustling farm of over 1000 chickens, 11 cattle, 15 alpacas, and a spirited three-year-old, Lenni found a small window to return to their passion for writing. Drawing on their personal experiences of parenthood and the enriching activities that nurtured their daughter's growth, Lenni penned this series. These stories encapsulate those special everyday moments that form the bedrock of childhood memories, resonating with children and parents alike."
